HCL Technologies Ltd announced a 6.23% increase in its net profit for the third quarter, reaching Rs 4,351 crore compared to Rs 4,096 crore in the same period last year. The Noida-based IT company’s total income rose to Rs 28,816 crore in Q3 FY24 from Rs 26,960 crore a year ago. Post-market hours, the company disclosed a 3.85% gain in shares, settling at Rs 1,543. HCL Tech’s board declared an interim dividend of Rs 12 per equity share for FY24, with a record date of January 20 and a payment date of January 31.
Providing guidance for FY24, the company anticipates a revenue growth of 5% to 5.5% YoY. This projection includes revenue from the acquisition of German engineering firm ASAP for $279 million in July 2023. CEO C Vijayakumar expressed excitement about HCLSoftware’s strategic progress, highlighting a robust operating margin of 19.8%, a 126 bps improvement QoQ, and a 16 bps improvement YoY.
In Q3 FY24, HCL Tech secured 18 large deals, with six in services and 12 in software. The company reported a total headcount of 2,24,756, including a net addition of 3,617 employees. Notably, the attrition rate decreased to 12.8%, down from 21.7% in Q3 of the previous year.
